#8 focuses on the tried and true wedding traditions. From the first pour of champagne to cutting the cake, these moments are the most challenging, but the most rewarding, to capture for you.
It may surprise you to find this on my list of top moments of the day. However, wedding traditions truly are one of my favorite moments to photograph. The bride & groom introduction, the toasts, the cake cutting…
Here’s why: Now is the time I get to take a step back and seek out the candid photo moments, such as guests reacting to the bride and groom, and belly laughs (or tears) from an emotional toast.
I enjoy the challenge of working around the ever-changing lighting, scenery, and unique layouts of each reception venue.
I also take it upon myself to fade into the background, and begin photographing more of your personal story through the emotions and expressions of your guests.
Take a look at the photo gallery below, don’t these images make you feel something?!
Personally I find myself smiling when looking through this gallery, even when there are happy tears.
